Description
The Marsh Warbler is a small passerine typical of wetlands. It has predominantly brown, streaked plumage, with males having a black head during the breeding season, while females have a more subdued appearance with brown tones. The species feeds mainly on seeds and small invertebrates. The Marsh Warbler is a short-distance migrant. It prefers wetlands such as reed beds and marshes for nesting, building its nest close to the ground. The breeding season runs from April to July.

The Marsh Warbler nests primarily at the Bolle di Magadino. The species can nest in reed beds of varying densities, but the most preferred sites are found in reed beds that have been growing for several years and offer optimal conditions for building and protecting nests from external influences.
