Description
The Black-headed Bunting is a bunting with distinctive plumage, featuring a streaked brown back and gray underparts. Its head is marked by a black-and-white mask. It feeds mainly on seeds, but during the breeding season, it supplements its diet with insects. It prefers rocky, hilly habitats, nesting among rocks or in low bushes. The breeding season occurs between May and July.
