Description
The White Wagtail is a slender and agile bird. Its plumage features a combination of white, black, and gray, with a long, swaying tail. It is easily recognizable by its behavior: it moves its tail up and down, a characteristic from which it derives its name, “wagtail”. It feeds mainly on insects and small invertebrates and is often seen darting nimbly across the ground to catch its prey. It is found in a wide variety of habitats, from the plains to the mountains.
